Biographies

Short biographies of all the full-time participants are listed below.

Ricardo Alvarez - Currently a senior at Indiana University majoring in Creative Studies in Dance and Technology, as well as working on a BFA in Graphic Design. In dance his primarily focus is on dance for camera and scenic designs, buthe is also eager to explore work done with real time footage - especially after my experience at the SDAT workshop.

Rusty Shackleford - 3D animation, production, movement, technical direction

Joan Gonwa - dancer, choreographer, movement analyst, educator from Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Kim Karpenty - has an MA in Dance and Dance Education from New York University and an MFA in Dance from Arizona State University. She is an Associate Professor of Dance at Kent State University in Ohio, and a founding member of Travesty Dance Group, with whom she tours nationally and internationally.

Gordon Kennedy - Assistant Dean for Technology for the
College Of Fine Arts, University of New Mexico. A faculty member in the Department of Theatre and Dance, Design For Performance Program. whose primary teaching is in computers for design applications

Nadja Masura - PhD. Student In Theatre and Digital Technology Theatre/MITH Fellow University of Maryland. Interests include multimedia and Internet Technologies, Digital Performance and Theatre, Telematic and Multisite productions, issues of Place, Community, and Nature facilitated through technolgy

John Mitchell (US) - sound / project co-ordination (US) - composer, performer, interactive performance design

AJ Neihaus - workshop assistant, dancer, technologist, video, internet/web casting

Apryl Seech - workshop assistant, dancer/choreogapher/technologist, internet/web casting

Ray Speights - Rhea Speights received her B.A. at theUniversity of Alabama with a major inTelecommunication and Film and a minor in English. Rhea is currently pursuing her M.F.A. in dance at Arizona State University.

Yacov Sharir - workshop direction, choreography/ dancing, 3d animation, media integration

Traci Yorke - a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University's Master of Educational Technology Management at the H. John Heinz III School of Public Policy and Management. Prior to that, Tracie served as the Program Assistant for the Teacher Education Advocacy Center at Montclair State University. Tracie's professional background also includes experience as an arts administrator and performing artist. She holds a BA in sociology from Amherst College and continues her research of new educational media/technology, cultural studies and nonprofit management/philanthropy.
